This CD is my 'First Flight' into recording my healing sounds. It's a twenty minute sound bath designed as either an introduction to those thinking of going to a session but not sure what to expect and also as a top up in-between full sessions.

I've been involved in sound healing and sound baths for around twenty years but had never quite got round to making a recording. Perhaps it was a gentle tap on the shoulder from Spirit combined with the beautiful sounds of nature here in Northumberland that gave me the inspiration.

I'd been talking with fellow musician and sound recordist Ian Gibb and we both thought “why not”? We recorded it 'live' at the lovely Bellwether Gallery near Bellingham with the sounds of the rain and the local blackbird for accompaniment. Ian only had to remove a few of my more intrusive clunks!

First Flight is an offering of love to the Northumberland landscape and to anyone who cares to listen to it.
