Welcome to the Sound Medicine Website

My name is Lindsay Macaulay. I live in the wilds of Northumberland inspired by the starscape, Northern Lights, rainbows and the song of the curlew.

My background is in classical music which remains an important part of my life. I studied piano, singing and choir training at the Royal College of Music gaining an ARCM, adding a Diploma of Education and an MA in Music and Culture from Surrey University. Since then I have been an accompanist, choir leader, musical director and teacher.

Twenty years ago I stepped into the world of sound and energy healing, dowsing and shamanism studying with Jack Temple, Jonathan Goldman, Michael Deason-Barrow, the Sacred Trust, Betsy Bergstrom and Edwin Courtenay.

Sound is medicine. The vibrations received externally from sacred sound instruments and internally from our own instrument, the voice, serve to re-balance and re-energise all the cells in our body and our etheric forms bringing balance and serenity.

Sound inhabits our world and affects our lives. Current scientific research by John Stewart-Reid and many others have demonstrated the beneficial effect of sound healing on the human mind, body and spirit along with extraordinary proponents of this work, Fabian Maman and Jonathan Goldman.

I have been giving sound baths and leading singing circles for fifteen years and also work as a Shamanic Practitioner.

I am currently offering Sound Bath healing sessions in Northumberland at the beautiful Bellwether Gallery, Cambo, Great Whittington and Tarset (from January 2025) Village Halls.

I am also giving Sound Baths at Land of Joy Retreat Centre in Tarset please contact them for details.

The Healing Circle is currently looking for a venue - watch this space.
